Requirements / Qualifications

The Director III Intervention and Prevention Services will be part of the Instructional Services team. He/she will assist the department in developing, implementing and monitoring the District Multi-Tier System of Support and Intervention programs. The Director III will work to ensure student achievement for all students, with particular focus on the development, operation and evaluation of all student intervention services such as, English Language Acquisition Program (ELAP), GATE, Section 504, and other general education intervention initiatives as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent. This position works in collaboration with department, district, and site administrators to meet the duties and responsibilities below. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Teaching experience, a minimum of five years of successful site or site/district administrative experience with extensive knowledge of intervention programs, strategies, and curriculum. Demonstrated ability and/or willingness to work with personnel at all staff levels and successful experience in using a consensus decision making model. Possession of a valid teaching certificate and California Administrative Services Credential are required. Master's Degree in Educational Leadership or Administration from an accredited college or university preferred.
