Candidates who receive an offer of employment will be hired contingent upon the satisfactory completion of the following: Fingerprinting/background checks, Verification of freedom from Tuberculosis, and Verification of I-9 Employment Eligibility. A pre-requisite for employment as an Instructional Assistant is the proof of passing the Instructional Assistant Proficiency Test for the Napa Valley Unified School District. EXCEPTIONS TO TAKING THIS TEST ARE: Possession of a current California Teacher Credential, possession of an AA degree or higher, or at least 48 units, OR CBEST (California Basic Education Skills Test). If you do not meet any of these requirements or have not already taken the test you must do so prior to being employed. Please contact the Napa Valley Adult School, 253-3594, for the next test date.
