Job Summary
NVUSD is currently offering a signing bonus to new employees for this position of $10,000.00 / $2,500.00 paid at the completion of each school year for 4 years. In order to receive the signing bonus you must be fully credentialed with a Special Education credential.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION SPECIALIST. This position requires the teacher to be able to work collaboratively with general education teachers in a push-in/pull-out, or co-teaching models. The applicant must be able to work closely with the site's principal. BEST team, and leadership team to promote inclusion of students with special needs in general education classrooms. The applicant must have experience working with advocates and be able to demonstrate good problem solving and conflict resolutions. Special Education certification for Mild to Moderate. Standard District Qualifications: Must hold a valid California teaching credential authorizing teaching in assigned classroom/subject matter and the equivalent of CLAD or BCLAD certification. Must have knowledge of the curriculum appropriate to the grade level/position, knowledge of instructional, classroom management skills, assessment, writing of IEP's, communications skills, and job responsibility.
